This Victorian village house is comfortable and welcoming. The guest
accommodation is in the old part of the house. Walter Parsons, nick
named ‘Stumpy’, because of his short stature lived here, a one time
postman and by trade a tailor and breeches maker. Perhaps more
importantly, Walter was an ardent Methodist and preacher. Before the
building of the Chapel, the front parlour at The Laurels was used as a
Reading Room and is now the guests’ lounge and dining room.
Accommodation is in a self contained wing of the house :-
